Hijack on the Orient Express - (Istanbul to Sofia)

They had reach Sirkeci Stations main entrance about 7.30pm. Then a wave of train porters came and started to take their bags before they got out of the taxi. Merida tried to direct them to the platform that the train was on, but failed they kept saying “Nerede bu çanta kaçırmak almak istersiniz?” She was enraged. Luckily Rapunzel knew a little Turkish, from all the reading she had done when she was little. Rapunzel said to the train porters “Orient Express bagaj arabaya büyük çanta almak, küçük çantalar bizi takip edecektir.” Hiccup and Merida were both amazed by this. Rapunzel saw this and said, “They were just asking were to take the bags.” Still in a state of shock, they walked not into train station but an old palace cover with religious icons and posters of attraction to welcome arriving passengers.

Once they got onto the platform, it was all modern. Cast iron pillars; Oriental tiles covering the platform and steam coming from the train Hiccup marvelled at the site of the train it was dwelling over him, and the sapphire blue carriages intended him more. Saying to his cat while still in its cage “This is our home, for now, bud.” They had walked along the platform until they reached a man in a brown porter uniform like you would see in a luxury hotel. He said as they were approaching “Welcome Back to the Orient Express Miss Corona, Miss DunBroch I put you in compartments number 7&8.” Merida said must gracefully as she was climbing aboard “Thank you, Kristoff,Mr.,” Rapunzel said “Oh we have to introduce you our new friend, Mr Hiccup Haddock” Kristoff had seen his face before but did not know were “Is this the first travelling with uMrHaddock” Hiccup replied “Yes. This is my first time” Kristoff thought I must have seen him somewhere before. Then he said “Anyway since your so close to the ladies. I’ll put in compartment number 9&10, do you mind sharing” Hiccup looked puzzled “Why do you say that.” “Well, once we get to Venice or Vienna. We start to more passengers and we have to share the compartments” Kristoff said “I don’t mind if it is the last resort” Hiccup complied reasonably” Hiccup put his suitcase on the floor of the car and started to climb the sleeping car until Kristoff kindly offered to hold cat cage for him until he got into the car. Then Kristoff kindly passed back his cat, gave him his key and said: “Hope you enjoy the Journey Mr Haddock.” Hiccup replied, “I will indeed”.

He had walked along the wooden luxurious corridor, passing doors covered in divine wooden art panelling. He had passed the ladies compartments and then his compartment. He took out his key and unlock his compartment door and walked in. The compartment was fabulous covered in wood. He had closed the door behind him, put his cat out of his cage, so could she get comfortable and Hiccup did the same. He sat on the seat that took up most of the space. Taking off his shoes and hanging up his jacket. He placed his suitcase on the seat and started to unpack his conscience. The compartment did seem modest enough. Over by the window, there were two doors, he opened them to discover a wash basin with hot and cold taps, made of silver; one long mirror on each door and a small round mirror that become closer to his face. Next to his was a door leading to his other compartment. A small with a lamp with bigger table underneath and it had all the other comforts such as central heating; small storage spaces and lighting.

Once he was done unpacking, there was a loud thud at the door. Hiccup proceeded to check if anyone was there. It was Rapunzel to check if everything was alright, Hiccup replied: “I fine”. Then Rapunzel proceeded to tell him that dinner usually served after departure, 8.10. After a while, more people started to board the train, but not many. It was until before departure. There was a little complication. Hiccup was about to go to the dining car when some said while passing to their compartment. “Is anyone who is trying to get on the train” So Hiccup decided to check this out. It was Kristoff and… the American gentleman from the hotel He had intervened with conversation “what is happening Kristoff”Kristoff looked up to him “Nothing it just, this gentleman what's to board the train”. Then the American interrupted “But, there seems to be no room for me to get to Calais” Hiccup was about to walk on, then he saw Ruffnut & Tuffnut walking around on the platform. He starts to get worried that they might take him away from a possibly bad idea pops into his head. “He can take my other compartment,” he said in a worried tone “Are you sure Mr Haddock” Kristoff said. He thought about what was worse ‘get taken by Ruffnut and Tuffnut’ or ‘sharing with a strange American for three days’. “Yes, I'm sure” he had a disappointed expression. “Best to get abroad, we start in 1 minute”. The American and Kristoff Climbed aboard, just as the locomotive steamed to life with a leap forward ;then slow movement followed by a white. As Hiccup was look out of the window. He saw the blond twins on the platform expecting for him to show up.

Hiccup walk up to the bar car with his journal, because he loved to write in while waiting for dinner. Also, be he did not the American to stop it, while he was not there. He sat on a lounge chair, then a man came along a said. “Would like anything to drink, Monsieur” Hiccup looked up from his journal and said, “A french martini, please”. The Barman reponed by saying “Very good, Monsieur”The bar car was like any normal. Dark wooden panelling with flower wooden carving. Comfort chairs with flowered fabric and a bar where he came in, where the barman was making his martini. Then Merida came in sitting opposite him saying while slapping his knee “Write today in your journal now are you”, She flapped down onto the seat making herself comfortable. “Yes I am, where is Rapunzel,” Hiccup said with concern “She’ll join us later, she getting comfortable”. The Barman came over with his Martini “Here you are, Monsieur. Anything for you, Mademoiselle” “A scotch whisky, with water please”. Merida started a conversation with Hiccup “I’m just curious, how far are going.” Hiccup closed his journal; put down his pen and took a sip of his martini. “To be quite honest with you, I don’t know.” Merida to a gulp of her whisky and respond. “I know that you don’t like to take about parents because they abandoned you. I know that you don’t have any other family.” Hiccup listen very closely to her next word. “What I'm trying to say is, I and Rapunzel have decided to come to Scotland with us.” Hiccup took this very thoughtful. “I don’t know what to say…” Merida interrupted him “You have to say right way, the offer is just on the table.” “I’ll definitely think about it”. Then a very tall, muscular gentleman enter the bar car. The long white beard gentleman “Mind if I join your party, while we what for the dining car to be open.” Hiccup look at the gentleman that sounded Russian, He looked familiar. “Of course, you can, why not,” Merida said politely “Ah you're from Scotland,” said the Russian. “Well, why don’t we introduce are selves” Hiccup suggested. “We’ll I’m Merida DunBroch, and This is Hiccup Haddock.” The Russian looked at you boy strangely when Merida said ‘Haddock’ “Haddock are you now, Well perhaps you don’t remember me I’m Nicholas St. North”. “I don’t remember you in the slightest.” Hiccup said, “I thought you a member of the Berk, Haddocks.” Merida interrupted “You mean the royal family, who son had been kidnapped six months ago”. “Perhaps I said too much” Nicholas stopped the topic of conversation.

As the train was now on the outskirts of Istanbul, as the sun was setting, the dining car was now open. The car had tables set for 4 and for 2, with white tablecloths and lamps. “Hiccup sits here” Merida suggested “Why not. Are you not joining us Mr North” Hiccup inquired. “I prefer to eat alone, on the train.” “Alright then, enjoy your meal,” Merida said. As they were getting comfortable, Kristoff came over and said to Merida “Excuse me for interrupting, but Rapunzel would like to see you. See is not feeling too well”. “Ah. The poor we lamb. Sorry Hiccup, but I have to go”. Merida got up from her seat and follow Kristoff back to Rapunzel’s compartment. Hiccup was browsing the menu to see what was for tonight dinner. “What would you like for tonight, sir.” Hiccup looked up and saw a dark brown haired man with hazel eyes, dress in a waiter's uniform. “I will have the lamb, cooked well done, with garlic potatoes and another martini please.” The waiter walked away towards the kitchen. Hiccup took out his journal and a pencil and continued to write about today’s events. It passed the time of his dinner to come.

He lifted his head up now and then to see who was come in. That was when The American came looking. He tries to hide his face, behind his journal. “I thought I would find you here.” Hiccup put down his journal right to eye line and saw the American standing right above him."Mind if I join you”. Hiccup put down his journal and said: “Is it customary in America to be so forward.” “In the right circles, it is.” The American replied and smirked, “Then I must be starting to travel in the right circles, Ok fine”. The American sat opposite of Hiccup and reached out his hand. “I’m Jack Overland” Hiccup gave him a handshake say “Nice to meet you, Mr Overland”. Jack looked into Hiccup’s emerald eyes and said: “And your name is.” “Why should I give you my name.” Hiccup Inquired “One. Calais is three days way and two. no normal person would share a double compartment with a stranger without a reasonable explanation.” Hiccup paid his bill and walking away from the table and said: “My name is Hiccup Haddock.”

He walked back to his compartment. He locked this compartment door and the door leading to Jack’s compartment. He closed the curtains; turned on the light and got changed into his green silk pyjamas. He rang for Kristoff to bring a dish of milk for his cat. Once Kristoff came back with the milk, he brushed his teeth; got into his couch turn bed; turned off the light and went to sleep, with the help of the train rocking him to sleep.
